What wild foods grow around Colorado Springs? Come learn some local edible plants on a beautiful 40-acre property in Black Forest. First we’ll take a plant walk and learn many different plants–from edible weeds you are likely to find near home, to native edible plants of prairies and pine forests. Then we’ll do some hands-on foraging, and prepare some food to sample.

- LOCATION: Black Forest/Colorado Springs (I will send the address to registrants.)
- COST: $65/person
- BRING: Camera/notepad, foraging bags (plastic or otherwise), plate/mug/silverware, water
- WEAR: Sunscreen, sun hat, sunglasses, layers, raincoat, outdoor shoes
- KNOW: We will be touring the private property of friends who have generously offered it up for our use. Don’t forget to thank the host! Yes there is a bathroom.
