Private classes are a great way to get a personalized learning experience tailored specifically to your interests. Arrange a private class for your family and friends, or book a session for a unique teambuilding activity.
Topics: Maybe you want to learn the plants on your property through a guided hike? Or add a hands-on component where you forage, prepare food, and sample what you made? We can make a wild salad, pesto, dandelion coffee, mustard, salted pinyons, or acorn pancakes–to name just a few. I am happy to design an experience that fits your interests and needs.
Colorado Locations: Location options include my place in Fairplay (in the mountains); private property to which you have access; or a rented site . NEW: We can also now do forest hikes–for plants, mushrooms, or both–at select locations in White River National Forest.
Pricing: Base pricing for small private classes is $200/hour plus $50/hour drive time to and from Fairplay. There is no travel fee if you come to Fairplay. The base rate applies to groups of up to 6 people. Larger groups or more complex classes may be quoted as a flat class fee based on group size, location, preparation time, ingredients, equipment, permits, and travel logistics. Please plan for a 2-hour minimum for plant walks and a 2.5-hour minimum for classes that include foraging, food preparation, and tasting.
