Description
What wild foods grow in a mountain forest in summer? In this class, we’ll hike to a mountain lake from Frisco, Colorado, learning edible native plants common to high country aspen/conifer forests and sagebrush meadows, as well as non-native plants, and mushrooms if present. We’ll taste along the trail, and forage and cook something back at the trailhead. Other activities may include: learning botanical terms, plant ID by group, how to use a flora, and/or something hands-on from my backpack. Offered under a USFS permit. Hosted by WFG ($130)
