Description
In this small, semi-private class (max 5 participants), we will learn and pick Colorado “huckleberries,” also known as blueberries, bilberries, or whortleberries. They are fruiting prodigiously near me! This is a fundraiser for research and travel costs related to the book I am writing. It should be a fun, intimate adventure.

- BRING:
- Camera/notepad
- Berry-collecting container (a plastic pint with a lid works well, or you can make a “blickey” by punching a hole near the top of a plastic container and using a carabiner to attach it to a belt loop)
- Something in which to carry the berries home — containers with covers, or a gallon-size Ziploc
- Hand-held berry rake if you like. There are many styles to choose from. Mine works well and has a plastic comb. Click here for an example.
- WEAR: Sunscreen, sun hat, sunglasses, hiking boots (uneven surfaces) warm/cool layers, raincoat
