Hi, I am a bit confused by sweet clover. My guidebook from Brianna Wiles says that sweet clover leaves have a serrated edge. The species in my front yard comes up in my plant app as sweet clover which I had already guessed. However the trifoliate leaves do not have any serration. I do not believe it is golden banner but if you look long enough at the internet you will start to second guess yourself because it seems like many sources conflict. Do you have any wisdom? I have pictures of the plant.

Hi Jayla, sweet clover is very easy to tell in flower. The yellow flowers are tiny and line the branch tips closely. Golden banner has large yellow flowers. I don’t find the serrations to be a consistent feature. Feel free to send me photos.
