Description
What wild foods grow in the back yard in August? Come learn some local wild edibles in Arvada, Colorado. We won’t be walking far, but there are plenty of plants to learn in this backyard setting. We will take a plant walk, forage a few things, discuss safety practices, and prepare something to taste. For the hands-on portion, we may work with chokecherries, purslane, lamb’s quarters, or something else we find.

- BRING: Camera/notepad, foraging bags (plastic or otherwise), plate/mug/silverware
- WEAR: Sunscreen, sun hat, sunglasses, layers, raincoat, outdoor shoes
- KNOW: We will be touring the private backyard of friends who have generously offered it up for our use. Don’t forget to thank the host! Yes there is a bathroom.
