Description
What wild foods grow in a mountain forest in summer? In this class, we’ll hike the Tanglewood/Rosalie Trail out of Bailey, CO learning edible native plants and mushrooms common to coniferous forests, as well as some non-natives. We’ll taste along the trail, and if we find plants or mushrooms that are flourishing, we’ll forage and cook something back at the trailhead. Other activities may include: plant ID by group, how to use a flora, and/or something hands-on from my backpack. No matter what, it will be a full, fun day! Offered with permission from the U.S. Forest Service. Hosted by WFG ($130)
