TOWN WALK: Berries, Seeds & More

Description

In this class we will walk a route around Fairplay Beach/town examining edible wild plants in fall. There will be an opportunity to pick wax currants, which are very plump, red, and plentiful this year. $50/person

• LOCATION: Fairplay, CO (I will send the address to registrants.)

• BRING:
  • Pencil/pen;
  • Camera
  • Berry-collecting container (a plastic pint with a lid works well, or you can make a “blickey” by punching a hole near the top of a plastic container and using a carabiner to attach it to a belt loop)
• WEAR:
  • Sunscreen
  • Sun hat
  • Sunglasses
  • Hiking boots (uneven surfaces)
  • Warm/cool layers
  • Raincoat
